Media blog feedback and LR

WWW: A really good start to Media – I enjoyed reading your blog! Your Minority Report analysis and your LIAR Inception film poster work both show an insight and ability to pick out key conventions and consider the impact these may have on the audience. In addition, your photo storyboard contains some great shots and accurate explanations. You should definitely be aiming for at least an A grade!

EBI: No fruit bowl! I’d like to see what you created for that Photoshop lesson. In addition, your LIAR film poster analysis is very solid and shows an impressive understanding of language and audience but there are areas to improve. We will need to work on representation (we’ll cover this in Assignment 2 later in the year) and also need to look at the depth of our analysis: over time you’ll need to be writing in much more detailed paragraphs that offer the depth required for A/A*. Writing high-level analysis means exploring the different possible interpretations that audiences may take from a media product such as a film poster.

LR: Reflect on your first month of Media. What do you feel is your strongest piece of work so far? What is your weakest? What specific skills or knowledge do you need to develop over the rest of the course?

LR

I think that the strongest piece of work i have completed would have to be the LIAR key concepts
